Valentine of Mine
I was challenged to write a Valentine’s love letter to myself by @CocosFight2BFit via @tryin2bfit’s blog post, Happy Valentine’s Day To Me. I think this is perfect since I’m working on being more active in self-love – as I see the importance of this in my healing.
Have I told you lately what a beautiful, strong woman you are? Have I spent time building up your confidence and spreading love within your heart? Have I forgiven you for things you have taken responsibility for – beyond your control or not? Have I told you how much I love you? Let me take this time to tell you, Valentine of mine.
One would say lady luck is on your side, but I say God has blessed you in every way: caring friends, loving family, thoughtful children, healthy and strong body, joyous outlook, clear positive vision – even when the fog sets in… to name a few.
There’s an intelligence that pours from you like none other, the passion to dig deeper and find your own answers, to learn and grow from this knowledge.
The wisdom you inherit from each hardship you intently crawl from beneath takes you even further into this intricate journey – an endless, wondrous adventure. You harness courage, persistence and a tenacious power.
I love when you laugh. A day without your smile and laughter feels like I’ve lost my best friend. The joy it fills my heart with is beyond any feeling I’ve ever felt before. The happiness shines from you like the sun’s rays that warm the day.
Oh, how I long for you to be your own best friend. Take your hasteful ability to forgive, to love others and direct it within. The laughter and the warmth you spread should encompass your every hour. The friendships, the support, the thought and care you so generously give needs to also consume your own being. Take time to admire your strengths; look inward at the wonder that is YOU.
Now it’s YOUR turn!
