Here We Go! 2011 Competition Prep Begins!

I’ve been journaling, but I haven’t really been blogging.  I’ll post my individual journal entries from the competition on. 2 weeks post competition and I’m FAT!  I managed to maintain a 3lb gain the first week and after that all hell broke loose.  I didn’t continue but I couldn’t get what I had gained back

Competiton to Now

I don’t even remember the last thing I blogged about!  Probably before my competition. I’ll start there.  Competition was awesome.   Regardless of my STILL not being 100% stage ready I did get the eyes of the judges and smiles.  I have a couple pictures I will post when I get them that show the 3

Peaking Calories – not so peaked

Just plugged in the macros for my meal plans on peaking week.  I’m losing at 1500 calories, I begin to retain water under this.  I’m not sure too if it’s a drop in carbs because I notice at 50 grams of carbs I begin to retain and slow down as well.  Not completely sure if

100 lbs – Burn Baby Burn!

Official starting weight 247, highest weight ever saw 250 (probably even higher, just never saw it), total loss HAS to be more than 100 lbs!  Surely my bones are more dense and my muscle mass has increased to offset some of that burned fat weight on the scale!  Surely, more than 100lbs! Lots of talk

Baggy Britches!

Dropped calories, raised weight.  Raised calories, dropped weight!  How many freakin’ times do I need to see this!!??  AND STILL!!!!  I’m looking at today’s numbers going… “ahhhh… you’re going to gain at 1500 calories!  It can’t keep working!”    My head is spinning.  Although I was out of town the majority of the day (away from

Recieved Peaking Program

9 Days left, not to include what’s left of today.  Oh, and I need more water be right back… Okay. SO much on my mind, and there’s almost so much on my mind I can’t even think about it all.  If that made any sense.  On top of that peaking weak has my head spinning.

Feelin’ More HIIT

I had a steady flow of good carbs today, and regardless of my KILLER leg workout I felt like I was ready to tackle some more HIIT tonight.  I ran 30/90.  My max HR didn’t register, but I think it only got up to around 170s; I went on how I felt.  I think I’ll

Day 4 & Day 11 Logs – A Diet Hijack!

8/23/10 Day 4 of Diet Hijack! Starting Weight 155 Today’s going on the 4th day since I hijacked my diet.  I woke up starving after an intense day of HIIT sessions and higher calories.  I spent most of yesterday second guessing myself.  Pleading in my head for this to work – I need this to

Training In My FiveFingers Vibrams

I finally jumped on the FiveFingers Vibram band wagon. I love them so far! I have such a large foot I was happy to get the “girly” versions. I used them to run intervals in and I felt much faster. I was surprised by how running on and over hot asphalt and rocks didn’t affect

2 Weeks Out! Moving Quickly Now!

I can’t believe I’m already to this point!  To make things even better, I’ve hit an all new low on exactly 2 weeks out!  I’m weighing in at an all new low of 151 lbs (96lbs lost) a week after taking charge of my diet and cardio.  I’m also incorporating a little more instinctual listening

Bye, Kori! Hi, Practice!

I had my last session with Kori this afternoon.  She’s happy with my progress.  She says I improve every time she sees me and I feel the same.  I’m much more confident today than I was 3 weeks ago.  I’ve got my notes and pictures to view and Mark and Dale will be helping.  I

*Sigh of Relief*

It’s taken me a few days to mentally adjust to taking charge of my own diet.  It’s scary, but I feel freed.  It feels GREAT!  The fact the scale has gone from 154.8 to 153 in 4 days is very comforting.  But I really would like to know that even if the scale didn’t budge

1st HIIT Under New Coaching

I sure haven’t forgot how hard high intensity intervals are.  But if I had, this workout would have had me reminded quickly. Here’s my first session (one more tonight) of HIIT on the new plan (my plan): Treadmill HIIT 8/22/10 5 min. warm up (light jog) 1 min. 6 mph 1 min. 3.5 mph (to

New Nutritional Coach

I’ve hired a new nutritional coach for my last 3 weeks.  This time it’s a female.  And although I’m having a hard time putting trust in her, I’ve compared the choices.  1.)  Stick with what I’ve been doing  (I can hear Einstein already).  2.) Take a risk with a new plan.  Either way I see
