Warm Up: Burgener Warm Up

Skill: Snatch

Workout Of the Day: EMOM Until Failure

Power Snatch (95/65) + Overhead Squat

WOD RESULTS: 6 rounds 43#

BTW – that’s not me in the video. ;)

Warm ups and skills are no joke! Especially when you’ve taken off so long. I still haven’t built my stamina back up yet. Total time spent with warm up, skills, and WOD was 34 min. Max HR 187 and avg. 168. That might be some of my fatigue showing through too, but seriously, “our warm up is your workout” is for realz!

I found this CrossFit lingo cheat sheet at Snoridge CrossFit.com, that I will be using quite often… :) So apparently I didn’t RX this workout because I only went with 43#. This was my first time to move into a WOD with O-lifting. (Do you like how I added another abbreviation for Olympic Lifting? And it wasn’t even on the cheat sheet!) EMOM, is “every minute on the minute” (you would know that if you were cheating). So, every minute on the minute you did a rep.  Each round you added another rep, so 2 reps on the 2nd round, 3 reps on the 3rd, and so on… So I failed at 6 reps, or 6 rounds.

I leaped into the confession box afterwards. I haven’t been eating all that much this week. Not really on purpose, but I can’t really rely on my own instincts at the moment; I don’t eat! And I’ve wondered why I haven’t felt all that great? Really!? So back to logging food. Before our WOD I had eaten about 800 calories (You don’t need to slap me, because I’m doing it myself). Add to that 220 calories from post workout shake. I just finished out the day around 1800 calories with a good range of carbs.

Progress, Not Perfection.
